Question on: Amicus Attorney by CARET
[Why does Amicus no longer dial phone calls?](/discussions/26164-why-does-amicus-no-longer-dial-phone-calls)

?

Amicus Attorney is being sunset in favor of Abacus Cloud, the development team are purposefully neglecting updates and new feature requests to help drive clients to the new platform.

Question on: AbacusLaw by CARET
[How do you use AbacusLaw where transactions involve multiple currencies.](/discussions/26137-how-do-you-use-abacuslaw-where-transactions-involve-multiple-currencies)

?

We do not use different currencies at our firm. However, I would convert each currency received to the default currency used by your firm, and include a note in the payment details of the actual currency amount received, with the calculation of its conversion to default currency, to provide a detailed explanation if question by client. For example, if we were paid 100 British pounds as an escrow deposit, I would note "Payment received by client (100 British pounds x $1.259288 = $125.92 USD)." $125.92 USD would be posted to the client's escrow account.

We are integrated with PCLaw. Unfortunately they tried an upgrade to sequel server like Amicus did with Amicus 2007 and last I checked it still does not work. We use version 14.2
