Cloud Management Platforms Discussions
Hi all, as more teams adopt multi-cloud strategies, maintaining compliance across all aspects (security, governance, cost controls, and audits) has become a significant challenge. I’m looking for platforms that provide centralized visibility and enforcement without slowing teams down.
Here are a few tools on my radar:
- Flexera One is frequently mentioned for governance and compliance tracking.
- SAP Business Data Cloud appears to be relevant for compliance-heavy enterprise environments.
- Azure Arc is helpful for applying consistent policies across clouds.
- FortiGate Cloud excels in security and network compliance.
- DoiT Cloud Intelligence is useful for cost and usage governance in multi-cloud setups.
For those managing compliance across clouds:
- Which platforms gave you the clearest visibility into compliance gaps?
- How automated were the policy enforcement and reporting features?
- Did compliance tooling slow down development teams, or stay mostly invisible?
Curious to learn from real-world implementations.
Have you encountered compliance features that were only available in higher-priced enterprise tiers?
Hi everyone, I am evaluating cloud management platforms that make it easier to provision infrastructure and scale resources as workloads grow or fluctuate. The goal is to avoid manual setup, reduce errors, and handle scaling without constant firefighting, especially across multiple teams and environments.
Some platforms I’ve been looking into:
- Google Compute Engine has strong native provisioning and autoscaling within GCP.
- Azure Arc is interesting for provisioning resources consistently across hybrid environments.
- Ubuntu is widely used as a base OS, often paired with automation for scalable workloads.
- Flexera One appears to be helpful for governance and visibility, in addition to provisioning.
- DoiT Cloud Intelligence focuses more on optimization, but it appears relevant for scaling decisions.
For those managing cloud infrastructure at scale:
- Which tools made provisioning faster and more standardized across teams?
- How much manual intervention is still required once scaling rules are in place?
- Did these platforms integrate smoothly with IaC tools or CI/CD pipelines?
Would love to hear what’s actually working in production.
Have you run into scaling limits, API throttling, or higher costs once provisioning volumes increased?
We’re working on a project that requires real-time visibility into cloud resources, and we’re trying to figure out which platforms are best at it. The goal is to spot performance issues quickly, keep usage under control, and avoid paying for underutilized resources — all without adding too much operational complexity.
Here are some top-rated options from G2 that stand out:
- Google Compute Engine – Solid infrastructure. How effective is its monitoring for real-time workloads?
- Azure Arc – Extends Azure management across environments. Does it deliver enough real-time insights for hybrid setups?
- CloudKeeper – Focused on cost and usage optimization. How strong is it at live monitoring?
- Azure Advisor – Native guidance within Azure. Does it provide enough granularity for real-time tracking?
- FortiGate Cloud – Security-driven platform. How well does it cover continuous monitoring of resources?
If you’ve used any of these for live monitoring, what worked best and what didn’t? Did the platform help you react faster to spikes or outages, or did you need extra tooling on top? Thanks!
Anyone already monitoring with these — what’s the one feature you rely on daily? Alerts, dashboards, or integrations?
