[What antivirus software is worth using for a small business that needs to protect a handful of devices without paying for an enterprise endpoint suite?](/discussions/what-antivirus-software-is-worth-using-for-a-small-business-that-needs-to-protect-a-handful-of-devices-without-paying-for-an-enterprise-endpoint-suite)

For a small business protecting a handful of devices, the sweet spot is real endpoint protection with simple central management, without the price or complexity of a full enterprise suite. I rounded up the picks small-business G2 reviewers rate most highly on that balance, from the [Antivirus](https://www.g2.com/categories/antivirus) category.

- [**ESET PROTECT**](https://www.g2.com/products/eset-protect/reviews) tops the small-business grid, and reviewers there praise easy central management, light performance, and fair pricing for smaller fleets, with a single console to see every device.
- [**ThreatDown**](https://www.g2.com/products/threatdown/reviews) is repeatedly called straightforward to run without a dedicated security team, which is the whole point for a small shop. Reviewers highlight its cloud console, lightweight agent, and strong ransomware protection.
- [**Webroot Business Endpoint Protection**](https://www.g2.com/products/webroot-business-endpoint-protection/reviews) is easy to deploy and manage, with reviewers calling it a cost-effective, low-footprint way to cover base-level clients, though a few feel its detection tech is dated.
- [**Malwarebytes for Teams**](https://www.g2.com/products/malwarebytes-for-teams/reviews) is purpose-built for small offices, with reviewers praising a clean dashboard, minimal system impact, and centralized control without enterprise complexity. Some note the management console could offer deeper admin controls.
- [**Avast Small Business Cybersecurity**](https://www.g2.com/products/avast-small-business-cybersecurity/reviews) rounds it out, with reviewers describing lightweight protection, real-time detection, and an intuitive single console across Mac and Windows that suits teams without a security specialist. A couple mention paying extra for added features and a clunky renewal.

For a handful of devices, any of these gets you managed protection without enterprise pricing. How many devices are you covering, and do you want a hands-off cloud console or something you barely touch at all? And is per-device cost or ease of management the bigger factor for you?

How many devices you're covering changes the answer more than any feature list. Under ten devices with no IT person, users favor the business tiers of consumer-grade tools, since a cloud console you never open is just cost. Past that, the lightweight business consoles earn their keep the first time you need to check every machine after a phishing email. Per-device price differences are small at this scale; the real cost is whoever administers it, so I'd pick whatever the least technical responsible person can actually run.

[What is the top-rated antivirus for an Android phone that actually catches real malware rather than just serving up its own ads?](/discussions/what-is-the-top-rated-antivirus-for-an-android-phone-that-actually-catches-real-malware-rather-than-just-serving-up-its-own-ads)

Hi G2. Many "free antivirus" apps are primarily ad-supported and offer only a basic scanner, so it's important to choose one that effectively detects malware and blocks malicious sites. These [antivirus](https://www.g2.com/categories/antivirus) options all have legitimate Android apps and were identified during my research.

- [**Kaspersky AntiVirus**](https://www.g2.com/products/kaspersky-antivirus/reviews) covers Android alongside its other platforms, and reviewers across the board praise accurate real-time detection without slowdown. Its mobile app includes web and malware protection rather than ad-serving.
- [**360 Total Security**](https://www.g2.com/products/360-total-security/reviews) offers an Android version, and reviewers appreciate the free malware scans. However, it's important to be aware that the free tier displays pop-up ads on desktop and raises some security concerns.
- [**Adguard**](https://www.g2.com/products/adguard/reviews) is arguably the most on-point for the "not just ads" framing, since it works at the DNS level on Android to block ads, trackers, and malicious sites system-wide. Treat it as strong protective filtering rather than a full malware engine.
- [**Trend Micro Antivirus + Security**](https://www.g2.com/products/trend-micro-antivirus-security/reviews) is desktop-oriented in its G2 reviews, but the vendor's Mobile Security app carries the same anti-phishing and malicious-site blocking that reviewers praise on the PC side, making it a reasonable name to shortlist for Android.

Honestly, for pure malware catch rate on Android, it's also worth checking independent mobile testing labs alongside these. Which Android security app have you actually trusted, and did you find a free one that wasn't secretly an ad machine?

The ad-machine worry is justified, and the tell is simple: if a free tier's business model isn't obvious, your personal data might be the product. One more thing I'd check before installing anything: whether the app demands accessibility permissions it doesn't plausibly need, which reviewers flag on the sketchier free tools.

[Which antivirus works best for someone who mostly does online banking and shopping and wants to know their financial details are genuinely protected?](/discussions/which-antivirus-works-best-for-someone-who-mostly-does-online-banking-and-shopping-and-wants-to-know-their-financial-details-are-genuinely-protected)

Hey G2 community. If your day is mostly online banking and shopping, and you want real confidence that your financial details are protected, the features that matter most are safe-banking or secure-payment modes, anti-phishing, and blocking of fraudulent sites. I pulled the picks that G2 reviewers most connect to those from the [Antivirus](https://www.g2.com/categories/antivirus) category. Here are the top tools:

- [**ESET PROTECT**](https://www.g2.com/products/eset-protect/reviews) (4.6 stars, 1,002 reviews) is praised for accurate, AI-driven detection that catches phishing and zero-day threats, the kind of thing that tends to precede account theft. ESET also offers dedicated banking and payment protection, though most G2 reviewers describe it from a business-fleet angle.
- [**Kaspersky AntiVirus**](https://www.g2.com/products/kaspersky-antivirus/reviews) (4.5 stars, 95 reviews) includes Safe Money-style payment protection and a data-leak checker, and reviewers highlight accurate real-time detection on suspicious sites and files.
- [**Webroot Business Endpoint Protection**](https://www.g2.com/products/webroot-business-endpoint-protection/reviews) (4.5 stars, 532 reviews) leans on real-time web and identity protection across browsing, URLs, and malicious sites, which reviewers credit with keeping laptops clear of the web-borne threats that target logins.
- [**Trend Micro Antivirus + Security**](https://www.g2.com/products/trend-micro-antivirus-security/reviews) (4.0 stars, 33 reviews) is the most banking-specific of the group. Reviewers call out its safe-banking features and say it's exceptional at blocking fraudulent websites, and that its Pay Guard mode is built specifically for protected shopping and banking.

For anything touching your money, pairing one of these with basic habits like a password manager and two-factor authentication goes a long way. Which safe-banking feature have you actually found useful in practice, and has a fraud-site block ever caught you before you typed a password?

The fraud-site block has been a life saver for me. It catches lookalike bank pages before the password went in, which is exactly the moment that matters. The dedicated secure-browser modes get more mixed comments: some find the isolation reassuring, others switch them off within a week because sites break. My read is that fraud-site blocking plus your own two-factor covers most of the real risk, and the fancier banking vaults are comfort features more than protection features.
