Question on: Webex Suite
What is the best use for Cisco Jabber?
What is it most commonly used for?
Best use conferencing and desk top sharing.
Good for communication. Emojis and custom status is good. Best feature is that we can set alert on the people who is not available on seat.
Collaboration across a wide area (ours is statewide.) I am able to view availability and chat as needed. Though ours is blocked, it also allows users to share screenshots and collaborate in that way as well.
Instant communication and collaboration, for me, the country and international employees within the firm.
Great for communicating with coworkers and notifying staff when appointments are here.
I like the fact that I can see if someone is online. I can also transfer files to them quickly. But I guess the best feature is being able to quickly look at their information and call them.
To talk on phone via global private network

How do I add users from other organizations on my jabber
I was working for Cisco and I was not able to add users from other organizations like Wipro. If they were added to a group, I was able to connect with them but I wasn't able to connect individually.
Go to Settings (the gear at top right), file, new, contact. select the group from the drop down

I was not able to add someone who was outside my organization. Is it something that the organization restricts or is it part of Cisco Jabber?
For communication with external organizations, who are also using Cisco Jabber you need to federate with them. The best gateway for federations is Cisco Expressway. It supports federations with XMPP and also Microsoft Skype for Business
