IBM API Connect is a single API Management solution where it provides the high security, easy to develop the APIs, we can publish the APIs to socialize. IBM API Connect will be integrated with IBM DataPower Gateway where it will acts as gateway which provides high securtiy where it will be acts as a proxy. In the latest version of API Connect the advanced features are released where we can discover the APIs before moving to API lifecycle and we can governance the APIs using API & Product level rulesets. And the implementation for the administartor is quite easy and the support provided by the IBM Support center will be helpful which facing any production down issues. IBM API Connect in the latest version for the analytics server the deployment profile was deprecated which will needs to increase the additional RAM for the servers. UI of IBM API developer and Admin portal is good for managing and viewing the available products. The configuration related to product subscription, API's endpoints and secrets is very easy through Adming portal. The best thing i like about this product is that it's very easy to configure and manage the access for specific product at individual and group level. Product needs improvement on the latency of API call.As, with this layer of APIC configuration it adds a bit more delay. With IBM API connect portal we are able to manage all the API's very easily. Also we are able to monitor the access and limit the usage of the API calls. Though it provision end to end platform for management of API but still i feel more tutorials and walkthroughs can help beginners to learn the API integration faster. Its a one stop shop that allows us to create, manage and secure our application API's in the on-prem cloud or to other vendors like GCP, AWS. I found the neat little virtual machine appliance easy to deploy on our on-prem infrastructure and quick to get up and running. With cyber security a big thing the API Connect is a secure platform to work on and manage the project API's. It also helps close the gap with Redhat OpenShift as the API can be deployed within the native container. What I like the most is the analytics and API lifecycle management because it is easy to use and the data syncronization as well as testing and tracking from one place. On the other hand the security is good and with each update it has improved a lot, the execution times have also changed for the better and lastly I liked being able to manage multiple routes and have an analytics tab at the same time.
